New and Improved 2010 CVO's
« on: July 26, 2009, 12:54:54 PM »

Just wanted to start a discussion on all the differences, update and improvements over 08' and older model years (before the frame change). Things like how frame, rake and trail effected handling, ABS brakes (good or bad), 6 gal gas tank (top heavy?), new and improved wiring (for lights, plugs ect.) if any and all updates and improvements on the 110 motor. Does anyone know if any changes made to improve starter, starter clutch problems on earlier models. I know the heads were changed. That was part of the recall last year. But anything else changed for this new year CVO'S. Any improvements on the ticking topend and noisy motor. Any bearing or oil pump upgrades? Has less compression for 2010 from 07' (9.3 vs 9.1 this year). Torque does not reach 115 (advertised at crank) till 3750rpm's. 07' maximum torque was at 3000rpm's. The new exhaust hurts the torque just a little. Looking for improvements in design that make it worth trading for. Let's see if the 110 motor is worth a second change. We may not know till after the show when someone looks thru the spec sheets and part #'s on the 2010 motors. But list your experience, knowledge and findings here.
