FactCat installed and Tuned...
« on: April 05, 2009, 04:23:31 PM »

Here's a kick in the pants. Dealer installed the Fatcat Boss yesterday and tuned it. This morning I went in to get it....

Could hardly wait...you know the feeling. So I get there and my service guy hands me the dyno with a odd look on his face...uh oh...

Lost 3 hp and 4 ft lbs of tq..Okay, Okay...let's drive it and see if it's beyond a numbers thing. Ran poorly..weak throttle response, popping on de-accell, and completely flat on tq...in other words a POS tune.

Called the GM and we'll discuss tomorrow, but certainly not what I expected. My pro-pipe was a brute, but hard to tune for these guys, now I guess the Fatcat must be a challenge too...

AFR is good, but pretty wavey...

Any clues or insight to make me feel less pissed...??

The only FatCat installation I have ever seen that resulted in popping on de-accel had air leaks at the joint between the header and muffler...  Could just be a bad tune, but check for leaks too....   :nixweiss:
