S.E. 6 Speed vs Baker DD6 / OD6
« on: November 09, 2011, 10:19:46 AM »

Hi,
I am planning to purchase a 6 speed gearset for my FXR4. Stock it has tall gearing 34t tranny/ 65t rear wheel gives you 80mph at 3000 RPM. This taller than the regular gearing of the Baker DD6. Using the DD6 or OD6 with my sprockets are too tall. What I need is something with a more even spaced gear set. The Baker claims the 1st through 5th is same but 6th is higher. Baker said the OD6 for big inch motors because the DD6 was for stock motors. Anyone have a DD6 with a high HP/Torque motor? Problems?
Is the S.E. 33100-03A gearset a 1:1 ratio ? I like the tall gearing I got now, but want better choice ratios when not on the highway. anyone have the S.E. 6 speed ?
Anyone happy /unhappy with the S.E. 6 or DD6 / OD6 ?? issues/complaints?
Confused/undecided what is best. Planning a 100" Delkron Fatso motor build to go with it. Hoping for 110 HP/Torque figures.Street/Hwy motor use.
Thanks Guys,
