Well 999 posts ago I joined this site, mainly for product knowledge, But have learned much more. Like, How to take a 32k bike and reduce it to pieces on the garage floor. How to make it loud, but not too loud. and basically turn 32k into 42k. Hmmm maybe I need to go to Vegas.
So, for my 1000th post I say Thanks to All.
I've learned what a core bit is, and that I can be dangerous with a Dremel tool in hand, and that my small list of items that I needed to make to my new bike keeps growing every day. I came to this forum a little less than 5 months ago and after almost 1500 posts later, LarryB has brought me to think back to initially locating this forum. I was in an excited state of mind, having just purchased my first Screamin' Eagle and I decided to search the web to see if there were any forums relating to CVO's. I had been an active participant in several other bike forums in the past, so this wasn't something entirely new to me. I was still surprised to find a site dedicated to CVO's. I thought I would just scour the posts and find out a bit about what exhaust systems people were putting on these bikes and see if there might be any other quick little comfort suggestions. I remember noticing the # of posts listed after several days, and thought to myself, "Don't these people have lives?" How could anyone post 500 times or 1000 times, but surely how could someone post 25,000 times or more? After I hit 50 posts, I thought that there's a chance that I actually may end up posting more than 100 times on this forum. Well, as you are able to see now, this forum has become another arm of the riding experience for me. I really enjoy sharing knowledge, lack of knowledge, and experiences with the group. I'm really looking forward to meeting up with members at some of the get togethers. Oh, and of course, I've learned that the gents from Franklin, TN have a great sense of humor (LarryB and RickC).
