If you do an internet search on "motorcycle packing lists" you will find several comprehensive lists. One item I purchased that will now stay in my bags permanently is the mini air compressor from Slime and some tire plugs. It takes up very little space and if you or someone you are with ever needs it, you will certainly be happy to have it with you. It's only 6" X 6" X 2.25" in the carrying case.

It's a little more money than the ones from Sears, but worth it for the small size. I tried mine out when I got it to make sure it worked and I was amazed at how quickly it inflated my tire. I have one from Sears for my SUV and this one was definitely quicker.
