Glad you are here. I live North of you in the Texas Panhandle outside of Amarillo Texas. Last I checked Wild West Harley Davidson in Lubbock Texas had a Silver SERG on the floor. Call Darla Mason, tell her I sent you... They did me right on my trade in. Rob Barrett (Iglide)  :2vrolijk_21:

Welcome Big-T. Go for it. Don't worry about resale but don't let any dealer rip you off.

:welcome_005:  Welcome to the site, Big-T :welcome_005:  from  :sunny:  sunny So. Cal.  :sunny: and the CVO gang!  :vrolijk_6:  Great choice! :2vrolijk_20: Any glide is a fine ride, esp. the CVO!  :2vrolijk_20:  We'll try to help you spend even more  :ons_4: $$$$ on it!   :ons_4:   :bananarock:   :mango:   :huepfenjump3:

My $.02 on your questions:   Guys spend $20k on a bike, put another $5-10k in and get nothing for the extras when they trade in or sell.  A CVO theoretically has all the extras which are thus included in the MSRP.  Plus, CVO's are separate models for insurance purposes and blue look values so yes, there is an advantage.  Plus, being limited in number, they hold a bit higher resale value percentage.  Read here on the new SERG... you'll buy one!

Just joined. I have an 08' Road Glide and have been in love with the CVO Glide since it came out. Thought I would get over it but can't. I am now searching for an orange or silver one and want to trade my 08' in. One question. Do the CVO's hold their value that much better than the non CVO bikes? Seems like Harleys aren't holding their value as much as they used to. If anyone knows where there is one close to Houston let me know. Also trying to get one as cheap as I can. Thanks, T.

Wow, there is a friendly bunch of guys and gals on here. Thanks for all the welcomes. It looks like I will be buying my bike from my local dealer. They gave me fair trade ins on my 08'RG and my 06RK. I only got a few responses back from all my inquiries so it appears nobody wants to give these things away. I will let ya'll know when the deal is done. Thanks, T.
