I've been considering a Lojack..anyone have experience with them?

I had it put on my 09 SERG when I bought it a couple weeks ago. I recently found out that the system goes into a "sleep mode" if the bike has not been ridden in a few days. As it was explained to me, it is a theft RECOVERY system and not a theft deterrant system.
