What year are your heads ? Typically you can do better by having your stock castings ported. What else are you looking to do besides the bigger bore? Cams?

Your best off talking to a builder about the big picture and put together a combination that has been proven to work to achieve the results you are looking for.

If I was tied to using the 103+ heads I could get them to work well but the stock heads on a 96 or 103" BB would be a better start with some rework which would vary according to the build goals

the 103 kit comes with 255 cams. the heads i have now are 2008. i wanted to use these head mainly because of the 103 logo on the face. i have read that these heads arent the greatest performance wise but i figured there was somthing to gain with the increased valve size and port shapes given that i used a good piston are the flat tops my only option

Won't need to change the valves they are BIG already. Minor port work helps as does a different cam.

If the heads are standard 103" CVO heads, you can improve the low and mid-lift flow with a larger intake valve, and a clean up.The big factor will be the cam you choose.
If it lets you increase compression to give you good power across the board you should be in the ball park. ;)

Why waste your money on those cams. I bet someone on here will give you a set that they have taken out and replaced with a much better cam.

With the CVO 103 heads in stock form you are much better off with the flat tops and a YB13 or Red Shift 575 cam. Should get you 100-108HP and 105-115 in torque with open AC and good exhaust.

You could do the same with a Woods 5 but have more gross average torque in the 2-4k rpm range.
