THANKS to twolanerider and Ghost Rider...
« on: April 19, 2009, 12:15:44 PM »

I just want to thank Don and Travis for taking time out of their busy life to meet and break bread with me one night last week.

I had to go down to Joplin on business and let Don know kind of my schedule.  We got together Tuesday night and had a great time talking about stuff.

Hackett's Hot Wings is a great place to meet and great food.

Thanks again for coming into town to meet me.  I had a great diversion to the week from hell.  All new equipment start ups are tough, but this one had its own issues.

Maybe later this year or whenever, we'll try to do a Winery tour out west of the Missouri river.  The Defiance and Augusta area are good for probably about 10 winery's just in that one area.  Also that area is great riding.  Tie old 94/Louis & Clark Trail into a nice ride from the St. Charles area all the way around to Alton IL and up the river road through Grafton up to Hardin and then back down and take the ferry over into Missouri, it's all great riding.

Just a thought for now.

Again Don and Travis, it was a very nice evening of meeting new people, thanks...

Thanks Dan.  It was a fun evening for sure.  And you're right, got to love Hackett's :2vrolijk_21: .

The winery run has been on my mind a few times since you left.  Will definitely bug Travis and Bill and whomever else we can push in to a weekend ride and try to make it happen.

Glad the WFH is over and you got home safe.  Looking forward to the next opportunity to do it all over again somewhere.

Dan,

It was great meeting you and spending an evening talking bikes and enjoying a couple of  :drink:.

The wine tasting ride is a definate must do, the wife has been after me to do it for years now.  We might even get HB and JD to come up from KY.

Later,
Travis
