Well I picked the bike up today from the Stealer with everything replaced except the front fender.  They replaced the right saddlebag and lower fairing but since the fender has still not arrived I decided to take it home so I could ride since the damage is barely noticeable. Most of you guys posted saying that the parts could take longer then the dealer estimated and you were correct. Apparently they paint these items in batches so it could be a while for the fender. I also ordered the chopped tour pack while I was at it.

My first impressions of the ride were mixed since I have been using a friends 2005 FLHTCSE2 for the last couple of weeks. The ride on the 2005 seems to be slightly more comforatable than the 2004, and the 2005 has Rinehart Tru Duals and has been tuned which definitely makes a difference. My 2004 has only Screamin Eagle II Performance slip ons installed. I will be changing the air cleaner and  adding a PCIII myself and using a map from Jamie at Fuel Moto.

I am not quite sure I am in love with the sound of the Screamin Eagle pipes after hearing the Rinehart's on the same engine although time will tell. I actually like the tone of the Screamin Eagles when I am off the bike but on the bike it seems a little weak and tinny.

I will take pics of the bike this weekend and post.

Does anybody have any exhaust recommendations for a deeper sound on the 103 that they are happy with. I know exhaust sound is very subjective but I would be curious to hear your thoughts.

Thanks

The sound of your bike........or I should say your exhaust (any exhaust) will be different once you get the high flow air cleaner and a tuner.  You may find that you like it, then.  You'll notice a big difference in the performance, also.

By the way, glad you finally got it back.  No telling how long it might be before the fender comes. :nixweiss:

fgizzo, last summer I was side swiped by a woman in her car.  She nearly riped off my right saddlebag.  When I pulled up next to her and told her to pull over because she had just side swiped my bike with her car she took off.  I went after her, I got into of her vehicle to block her in and she rear ended me and took off again.  So I went after her again.  I had several other driver help me block her in to keep her from trying to run again.  To make this a shorter story I had $3,900.00 worth of damage.  I needed a new right saddlebag and a rear fender.  It was supposed to be eight to ten weeks.  The parts arrived from the HDMC in ten weeks.  The parts were nearly a perfect match.  Now it will take ten to twelve weeks for stock painted parts.  Sorry, be it could be even longer for CVO painted parts.  The wait was worth it!! :2vrolijk_21:

Figizzo,

I have the Freedom True Dual Pipe set up with a power comander preprogrammed from them. THey are Reno Cycles and it is a plug and play system. The FReedom pipes are made by BUB and are the same as rienharts but have 1 additional step up in size form head to mufflers. I added ther solution to my bike and ran a dyno and then had the dealer try to fine tune and the map provided was the best for my set up. I ended up with 113 hP and 116 TQ. The bike runs awespoem and I swear by these pipes and set up. Here si the web link for you to take a look:  http://www.sideroadcycles.com/AmericanMotorcycles/Exhaust/Softails_Duals_Sharktails.html

Good Luck with what ever you pick.
