opening stock baffles
« on: April 30, 2009, 09:29:51 PM »

My cat is gone (09 FB CVO) now but the bike is still way too quiet.  can I drill out my stock baffles to get a little more noise. actually I know you can but I need to know how. The dealer said to drill a 1/2" hole to get a little more flow through the muffs.  I could ask them where but I would rather ask you guys. I like the look of the stock pipes, although I do like the V&H big radius 2into2(but too loud?) and second choice is V&H big Radius 2into1, third choice V&H straight shots . I would like to see if I like the sound of the stockers freed up a bit, and if I am not happy I will get the other pipes. Oh by the way I took it out again today (rain stopped for an hour) and I love it. its nothing like the other bikes I ever owned. Sixth gear is a lugger though on the freeway unless your doing 80mph.

You need to just remove and replace the stock baffles.  One of the folks on the site has posted several how-to's and sells the replacement baffles in various sizes and sound levels.  Search for Fullsac.

I think you are correct about being only for baggers. I have a 2" set on order for my SERG. I am trying to find non cat head pipes but no luck so far. Fullsac has good info on their Web Site. Check them out. They will pre-program a Master tune to your specific bike and mods so you can plug and play.
