As I understand it. If you own a motorcycle in the US and are on a trip to Canada, then yes your warranty follows you, however if you sell you motorcycle to a Canadian, the warranty won't follow the bike across the border.

Hey, welcome aboard!  Was that in US $$ or Cdn??  I bought a low mile '08 SERK in January and paid a little more than you did, but it was a Canadian bike from Nova Scotia.  I know you'll love it!!
