Since you guys mentioned the backrest.  Will a lets say 2005 seeg backrest fit on a 2009 mount?
or any of the backrest that you have to (squeeze), mount in the 09' mounts.  Thanks,  Let's Roll

Should have made it clear.  The Rider back rest.  Since the 09 have a different  mount , I'm wondering if the backrest will fit if they're not 09'.  Let's Roll

I am useing one from a 07 SERK with the same year mount, pushes the seat forward a bit but works well for me does not push me forward.  Doc

Doc is this your new bike or your other new bike.

LOL  they look the same except the new still has the reflectors on. but those will be gone today. and the CB14" shield also is on the new bike

My riders  back rest works of my 04 SEEG. The only thing that did not work was the support bracket, but I had a chrome brackted that I bolted to the frame then to the support bracket. 5 min mod. If you need a brackted I may have another one around. Let me know.
