Detachable Luggage Rack
« on: May 01, 2009, 12:12:18 PM »

I added the 4 point docking hardware (54205-09) and the detachable luggage rack (54215-09) to my SERG.  I still haven't decided if I am going to get the tourpak, but this gives me additional luggage capacity for road trips.  I also got the cover kit (48171-09) for the docking points for when I am not using either the sissy bar or the luggage rack.  I think it cleans up the appearance from the rear.

I also put the Tune Trapper antenna in the fairing when I added the HID headlights per Jim Kerr's excellent instructions.  I did use the Y adaptor for the antenna connector at the radio and intend to put a stubby antenna on the rear when I find a source.

I ordered all the part numbers I listed from Chicago HD - It was 345.63 including shipping.

The cover kit consists of the 4 chrome cylinders that slip over the actual docking points when not in use.  They are magnetic, and stay on very well.
