Yes, a low profile tire will normally have less sidewall "flex" so it doesn't offer as much shock absorbtion as a higher profile tire.  Same thing is true of those 30, 40, or 50 series tires you see running around on cars and trucks.  They do not, however, create vibration problems.  As I said, vibration and rough ride are two different things.  If you complained to the tech about a vibration that gets worse at higher speeds, and he offered up the low profile pitch rather than perform a vibration diagnosis, then my original comment stands.  He didn't do his job.

Someone mentioned yesterday that Harley claimed that some wheels were machined out of round. Not sure if it is true but you could ask customer dervice.

Of course, if the "tech" does the proper diagnosis and checks runout, he'll find any mismachined wheels without having to wait for Harley to tell him about it.
