Bitubo install -- so simple
« on: May 14, 2009, 01:25:53 AM »

That was about the easiest upgrade I've ever installed (next to glove box liners), and soon to find out how much difference they make.  My guess is it's going to be one of the greatest gains per labor buck.  They look good on there too.

I was a bit apprehensive about fit vs hard bags.  Absolutely no problem if you mount the canister down and to the rear (at least 3/8" clearance if not 1/2").  Also, compression and rebound adjustments can be made with the bags on.  The only adjustment requiring bag removal is preload -- and that's a piece of cake.

So far so good.  I'm still working on electrical with new internal wired bars (speedo & fairing off), and Hog Tunes, so it'll be a few days before I have it together to ride.  Took a change of pace from the electrical & this was nice.
