hi all

just purchaed i new garmin zumo 500 deluxe.

i have also purchased a 2 GB sd card for extra storage.

Q. so in simple talk how do i tranfer music into the garmin from either 1. itune which i allready have a library or 2. any other way

Your Zumo will only play files (music) that is in *.mp3 format. The music you have in your Itunes library I don't believe is in that format.

Once you have the files in the right format it's a simple copy/paste to the SD card they way you would do any other file transfer. Plug your Zumo up with the USB cable that came with it to your computer and it will recognize the SD card as another drive then copy the files to the card.

If you have a lotta songs you should put them in separate files, say 20-30 songs to a file or it'll take forever to boot up.

The easiest and most organized way I have found is using Media Monkey

http://mediamonkey.com

I create a folder on the SD card called music.
I then use the Media Monkey format Artist > Album > track > title
