Removing Thottle Body...

I need to get the TB off my SERK...

Got the left side allen out - easy.

Trying to remove the right side - loosened up the cruise control cable so its out of the way, the allen wrench is not getting a good grip and I am really gooning up the allen bolt...

Tried a really long 1/4 ball head I have - same effect (might have made it worse).

Don told me there is a tool that Harley or the aftermarket makes- did a search and have come back blank.

Hit the bolt with some PB Blaster hoping it will help break it loose.

Need help here.

So here is where I am at...  I had cut down an allen wrench to fit better, but the allen bolt was stripped and things were not going my way - should have done this first before trying the ball head piece of crap.

I took the cut off from the shortened allen wrench and have epoxied it into the allen bolt - letting it cure for 24 hours while I calm down and drink a beer and some cane beverages.  Will see how it does tomorrow when I get home from work, if this doesn't work, I am probably going to have to cut the head off and trash my intake/tb.  I have a nice snap on 1/4 12 point that grabs it and allows me to push on it while I turn it, hoping the epoxy takes up the extra space where I have gooned it up.

I hate when crap like this happens - if the assembler or last person in had just per some never seize on the threads, I would be bolting my bike back together.

I hear ya......It seems like there is always one bolt that you can't get to or seems welded in place.  Sounds like ya got a plan,  hope it does the trick.   Sears makes some little bottle of "gritty" stuff that you can put on screw heads and/or allen bolt heads, etc. that is supposed to help (get a grip)......I have some,  but have never really put it to the test. :-\

Yeah I think I have a cut off 1/4 allen and a small combination wrench that I use to get that one out.  Also I think s&s made a not  quite 90 degree allen that was useful...

Like O2 sensors, seems it takes a plethora of wrenches to accommodate the manifold bolts on the same back to back model sometimes.
The long Bondhus has been the right side get 'er done favorite.

so you use the long ball end with the socket over it for leverage?

Yes.
And for the really hard to get to and make good contact bastards, I use the one in the pic that's laying on top of the other wrench. Pic may not show well but it has a ball end on one end too. I always feel for good contact before applying enough heavy reverse torque to preclude distorting the bolt socket.

Sometimes it's simply the indexing of the bolt that's just exactly in the worst position.
