Rocker Switches-cruise/spots
« on: June 01, 2009, 08:43:41 PM »

On our trip to Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge last month, after only 10 minutes on the highway while using the cruise control for the first extended period of time, it actually shut itself off, and took the spots out too. Pulled over to check fuse which were ok, said screw it and went back on the road. About an hour later the orange light came back on along with the spots indicator light on the rocker. this happened 3 or 4 times until I turned the cruise off. seemed ok the rest of the way and until today, now the spots don't work. No loss of juice as the battery stays fully charged. Sounds like the switch is bad and it's going to dealer Tuesday. Has anyone had a problem with anything on their dash? 2008 SEUC3 gave us a fantastic trip otherwise. Love this bike.

CN

Had the same exact issue on my 09.
It was a bad switch.
Should be replaced under warranty.

My 08 SERK has the cruise problem. Even with the switch off, the bike will still go into cruise mode. If I turn the switch on and off again the light on the speedo will go off for a few seconds and then come back on to orange. So I too think the switch is NFG.  >:(
