On my way into work this morning and it was a perfect ride. I was early so I thought I may as well fill up the Deuce. So I pull in to the Shell station and start filling up and for some reason the pump just did not seem to kick in. So like a dumb a s s. I take the nozzle out a little and wouldn't you know it. WHOOSH!!! All over every thing. Man I was pissed. I think everyone new I was pissed. So cleaned the bike the best I could with some bottled water and a little hand-soap. It's fine and I will clean her up a little better when I get home and I guess it could be a lot worse. So anyway there is rant! Moral of the story don't be a dumb a s s.
Just be happy you didn't pull it out and turn it around to look down the nozzle. Now
that could really screw up a person's entire day.
Don't feel too bad, you're not the first or the only person to do this. Some pump nozzles are very sensitive and will keep shutting off when filling a bike, so you have to hold the nozzle almost completely out of the actual filler neck. I "gas washed" my tank and engine once when I sneezed while trying to use such a nozzle.
