Just install the Heat Demons and no more worries or trips back and forth to the dealer. Heats better and the little thumb switch is much easier to use than twisting that knob on the end of the handlebar

That's the answer alright.  HD heated grips are anemic. 

They're tricky for electronic throttle models.  Took me a loooooong time to make them work, but they're well worth it.  imho
