Bub 7 Slip-ons - SERT or not?
« on: June 09, 2009, 05:47:51 PM »

I have an 09 SERG and have replaced the header with a stock HD non-cat header. Thanks to my local HD service department for the free take-off header!!

In the research I have done here, I am not clear if I need a SERT or not. I do not plan on doing anything with the breather unless I hear a compelling argument for something better than what came on the bike. The bike has more than enough power for my needs, so the need for a tuner would not be for more hp, but for increasing the efficiency and longevity of the motor.

What say you?

Thanks,

Steep

My dealer told me yesterday , yes .
any change in headpipe or mufflers will let more flow out ( the breather is not yet at his end ) .
For a long life yes .
And for full-throttle run also .
( But i thought that the full-throttle run would be no problem with the new EFI )
