I am undecided about what performance upgrades to do to my new bike. I have about 2200 miles on it now it is completely stock and with passenger and luggage I am getting at least 38MPG (unless I am pushing a head wind). When I get back from an upcoming trip to Nebraska I am thinking about doing some upgrades. I am already sold on the fulsac 1.75 or 2.00 baffles. I want to get the non cat head pipe, but living in CA. I am concerned about future smog control checks. I guess my dilemma is what is going to be the best all around decision. For sure I will open up the air cleaner and get fulsac baffles so I can keep the stock look, but I am having a hard time deciding whether to leave the stock head pipe and get the harley fuel map upgrade, get the power commander, or the TTS Mastertune. Part of my dilemma is because I am concerned about gas mileage verses power and keeping things simple or complicated.I have had many motorcycles but this is my first one with fuel injection. My other Harley is a 1995 with a S&S 107 it runs great and it is pretty loud. I guess I am looking for input regarding performance upgrades versus gas mileage and complications in the event they start smogging bikes here in california. Thanks in advance for any input.
