Exhaust and tuner
« on: July 01, 2011, 11:39:34 PM »

OK, new owner of a 2011 CVO Road Glide.  I want to change out my exhaust and understand that i have to tune it as well.  I have been told that if i get rid of my cat and put some slip-ons and tune it will be just what i need.  I try ed my super-trapp slip-ons on to see if i would like and do like the deep sound, but it lacks a loudness to it.  make any sense.  I have heard the true duel long shots by Vance and Hines.  They are OK. The Night stick by Harley sounds pretty nice, but not to crazy about their looks. any and all input will be greatly appreciated.

I have the supertraps and bought additional sets of discs to make it louder. After removing cats I removed some discs. You won't believe how much it opens up. I and most others will recommend getting it tuned regardless. It comes from the moco to get by the regs. and we do everything else to make it rideable. If we bought cars this way there wouldn't be any company in business. Lemmings we are.

I went with a D&D Boss Fatcat.  I re-used my TTS Mastertune (bought the 2 bike version, but only ever tuned one of my old bikes with it).
Installed the pipes myself and vtuned.  The fatcat sounds great!
