Detachable Tour Pak ??
« on: September 20, 2009, 08:53:46 AM »

Does anyone here know if the Bush Tec Trailer Hitch set up for the 09 SEUC will work with the detachable Tour Pak.

The "rails" from the Bush Tec set up looks like it will work, just looking for confirmation from someone who knows or maybe someone who has done this.

I said I would never do it....but I am thinking of doing something different.

Thanks.

You can look at mine.
I have the BushTec hidden hitch on mine.
Actually on the BushTec website it's my bike that is shown. (notice the D&D 2into1)

OK Dick,

I went out and took a picture.
There are only two bolts that secure the bracket at the top rails.
Who's here for you?
Hope this helps.

Yes sir

I have the same thing on mine, is your TP detachable though ?

See the holes that are in the rails that come down are counter sunk which leads me to believe this was a decent design, and they may have thought ahead. Just not 100% sure.

And not to confuse anyone, I have the hitch already.
Thinking of making the TP detachable.

I will go ahead and give this a shot.

If it works out I'll let everyone know.  Hard to beleive I will be the first one to do this.

Dick

You are the pioneer.
Blaze that trail, light that path.
Take no prisoners.

And FYI, mine is not detachable and have no plans for it to be, just not part of the plan for the 09.
Good luck!
