Here ya go!  The movie on DVD for cheaper than you can buy a used VHS.  From the cover, it looks like it ends in snow!

Oh whatheheck, couldn't help myself I went ahead and ordered it.  IF this is the movie, we'll have to do a mail around and enjoy it together.  THanks for all the help -- I've been looking for this movie for YEARS (and today is my b-day!).

:2vrolijk_06: Me too! Happy Birthday bro!  :2vrolijk_06:

And don't worry about ruining the end of the movie, I'd never watch it anyway. Not my flavor.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  YOU MANAGED TO SNEAK THAT ONE BY US.  I HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT DAY!

Well I am glad I helped make it a happy day for you.  You actually helped me too.  I was sitting at my desk anxiously awaiting for my boss to finish up some work so I could take over and do my part.  His "few minutes" turned into hours.  I was glad to have the distraction.  I hope you enjoy the movie!

Vernee,

The Deer Hunter was a movie that affected me deeply. I took a gal to see it back in junior college. I walked out thinking it was a good flick, and then found myself crying two days later. A more recent movie that deals with soldiers returning home from war is In The Valley Of Elah. Check that one out if you get a chance it's on DVD now. Now that movie Shoot does sound a little off the wall, but like most movies I guess I should see it before trying to pass judgement on it.

I can't watch Deer Hunter now.  The older I get, the harder it is for me to watch stuff like that.

Shoot is definitely one of those late night TBS or early cable movies.  When I saw it, I'm sure it had been edited and had lots of bleeps.  I don't remember anything but the ending.  My brother remembered the whole plot though!  If I remember correctly, the plot is kinda slow.  I'm sure me and my brother probably made trips to the kitchen for sandwiches and popcorn and still didn't have a problem figuring out the plot.  But the end makes you sit straight up and go WTF just happened?  It's one of those that just sticks with you.  I'm glad PR3VS56 managed to snag a copy for his birthday since it's been bugging him for 20 years!

You got it Vgirl!!  The end is the WHOLE THING.  And the deal is, the movie just lulls you along, and then whamo!  The last thing you expect.  Not here yet, but I can't wait to see it again!!  (isn't that dumb?, I mean after all these years I'm so excited about this one little movie)

It came in today's mail, and that's the one alright!!  Thanks everyone.  Not exactly as I remembered (it was a long time ago), but definitely there with the twist at the end.

Something about having a memory like that, and then revisiting it.  Does a soul good.

If anyone would like a copy, PM me with your name/addy.
