Starter paint issues

Others may have reported on this already but I could not find the thread...

The paint had been peeling/flaking from my starter for a couple of weeks and had developed into two seperate bare spots larger than a nickel. When I took the bike to the dealer for the wheel recall I brought it up expecting to fight with them. Instead they told me it was a known CVO issue and the starter would be replaced under warranty. Since I was on a roll, I quickly asked to pay the difference and have the upgraded chrome starter installed. No problem, they even overnighted the chrome one since they did not have one in stock. So I have added a little extra shine to the dark area for $106.00.

Good idea, I will remember that when I talk to them about the paint coming off my starter.
