Kuryakyn adjustable lockable highway peg offsets
« on: July 13, 2009, 01:30:10 PM »

Has anyone used the Kuryakyn adjustable lockable highway peg offset with the stock highway bar mount and stock pegs?  (I have a 2007 SECU.)  I don't want to switch from the upgraded mount to the less attractive clamp style and of course I want to keep the matching pegs.  The pictures of this offset ( 2" or 4") show a male mount on one end and a female on the other so I thought it would work but one website said the following which confused me-

"Note: Stock footpegs do not work with this product. Requires Motorcycle specific Splined Adapter to mount to bike, then use any Kuryakyn Male Mount Footpeg (or Female mount with adapter 8008A) for your footpeg choice."

Thanks.

I have a set of the 2" ones. I should probably have gone with the 4"ers because you lose a bit of the extension as they become wider with the extra connection. I haven't measured it but they must put the pegs about 1" wider. The 4" ones would bring the pegs in a bit .

Talk to Tommy (07hd110) has has them on his bike and is quite pleased. They retain the stock floorboards and all you see is the footrest (?) / bracket. I've looked at them before had just haven't gotten around to doing them.

Thanks.  I figured the vendor made a mistake but it's better to check that to be sorry !
