I do not think that having good pressure means that flow is adequate which is what a bad filter would influence.  Actually, the more restrictive the filter the more pressure would increase.  Pressure test actually is for the pump and fuel pressure regulator.

I don't know what good the filters are anyway.....I was riding with a buddy and his Daytona last year and his '05 FL wouldn't accellerate....finally found a jelly-like trash in the exit orifice of the fuel tank that was restricting the fuel flow.  Cleaned out with a toothpick and bike ran good.  Got home and replaced the fuel filter in the tank.  Then, a few weeks ago it happened again.....same stuff, same place, same fix scenerio......Why bother with the in-tank filter if it's not gonna filter?  :-\ spyder

Its all those good fuel additives that each state puts in there fuel. Each state is different.

Every time I've checked fuel filter or carb. fuel lill, I found it coated with peeling tank liner coating.

2000 FXSTD was one.  I was installing Pingel version.  THe grey crap was only as high as the reserve level.
