True duels on an 09 SEUC?
« on: November 16, 2009, 05:25:11 PM »

I have a 2009 SEUC with standard headers and SE Street performance mufflers. The standard headers are very hot on my wife's leg. Has anyone changed to the BUB true duel headers and does this change reduce the heat or just move it to the other side of the bike? I am in Australia and we have very hot summers.

I think your setup is fine, the heat is from the Catalytic Convertor in your Headpipe there are a number of threads  showing how simple removal can be.

I put duals on my SERG after having the SERT installed, cat removed etc.  With the lowers in place it was too roasty riding.  I used the Modern Performance ones, fit good.  As far as heat issue-cooler on the right side for sure but the left side is now warmer.  Bottom line-much better than it was and will stay on for a long while.  BTW the exhaust noise will increase with the install of the duals-so what :pineapple:

Thanks. I am going to check out a set of Bub true duels that are fitted to an 09 Road King to see if there is a difference in the heat output for the passenger. It is too hot for my wife with the standard headers.
