09 ultra. 920 miles. 200 mile round trip this weekend, when we got home I noticed burnt dots of oil on my pipes, pulled of the air cleaner  and the bottom of it  was damp to the touch with oil. enough to drop a few pencil eraser size dots. This normal? It was hot on the trip over(90+), and we were going 70-75mph the entire trip.

Normal? No, common? yes! Try running the oil a bit lower (about 1/4 - 1/2 quart) on the dipstick. This helps. Also with sustained speeds in hot weather it gets worse.

Amsoil, Mobil 1, Redline...All quality stuff. Be sure to use the v-twin oils as they have a different additive package than standard motor oil.
