JIMS 120

Seems that all of the parts in the 120 are either screamin eagle or JIMS that you can order from a catalog. So can anyone tell me (just out of curiosity) what heads are on that motor.

According to the JIMS 120 catalog and tech support the 120 heads were developed specifically for the 120 engine using a modified SE 103+ head base, high performance conical springs and a race specific bolt pattern.

Don't know what year your scoot is but my is a 2000 Deuce and after having two summeres of fun with a 95'' I bought the jims 116'' kit, I belived I payed $1800 for the crank, cyl's,rods, pistons, rings and the rest of the bells and whisles, my heads were $1500 which came from R&R who you can get from Randy at Hiperformance, my motor makes the same hp as there high doller 120"" but I wanted to have a real hot street bike so I'm running 11.5 to 1 compression and use 112 race gas and has 230 cranking pressure... theres all sorts of ways to do this build, I like the Jim H- beam rods verses the S&S rods for one thing, your cam profile will have a lot to do with how your riding habits are, my self I like racing from light to light ..when given the chance that is good luck. Do you use this for every day driving.  Sounds like it could be a hell of a lot of fun to keep on the ground.

Is matter of fact I took it out yesterday, 41 degreese with all my leathers and a way I go, lucky for me a gas station is only one block away thay has the gas I use, and yes I ride it every day weather permiting, I get 33 miles to a gallon and have a 5 gallon tank so 70 miles I have to turn back and refill, but buy then I already run over a few bikes [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] I also put a 21 tooth compensator gear on the crank and it gets going were it's going real fast, at 5k in 4th, gear I backed at 110 ...was running out of road and still had two gears left hehe, if you want a all day cruser just keep the c/r to 9.8 and use a 6HG cam and rework the heads you already have and save a ton of $ and the bike will still pull your arms out of your sockets on 94 gas, have fun,

Sounds like and excellent ride, can you give us a picture.

I've kept my ride to 10.5 forged pistons with better airflow all around, with CNC heads and 50mm throttle body and thunderheader exhaust.  I needed compression releases, but I can run on premium gas or Sunoco Ultra even better.

Is this thing *really* a race-only motor?  What would stop this from being a street motor (besides the ^%@$!%!! EPA arseholes)?

I'm seriously looking into it.

Any thoughts?  Comments?

You can't have everything.  Where would you put it?

No this is not a only race motor, I call it a saturday night special hehe!! but it feels like one, with 11.5 to 1 and S&S .640 can, 48mm S&S DaVinci carb and a ported manifold that I did my self, remember those big 2.02 intake valves dont' always work as good as the 1.94 & 1.625 that I have, valosity is what you want any my heads flow 300 cfm I took off 35k off the heads and used a 3 peace cometic 40k head gasket and valve relases, NGK-dcpr7e plugs, &a 4'' stack
