If there was a gator in the vicinity, I think it would have added just enough spice to make the scene real interesting. If that was me standing in the parking lot, looking down at my bike in the water, I wonder just how many times I would mutter the F word to myself versus out loud for everyone to hear. Look at it this way, now we know what a water-cooled Harley looks like.
