Fabulous wax!
« on: May 31, 2010, 02:25:57 PM »

I found this stuff at the local auto parts store and figured I'd give it a try. This stuff is great. I have used many, many waxes in my days and this tops them all. It makes the colors pop and looks like another clear coat has been added. It's a bit pricey at $15 for a pint bottle but it goes a long way with just a dab. Collinite's No. 845

To me a "fabulous wax" is one that applied and removed itself.    :cherry:

Good tip, I'll try it.  I checked around for it here (North Florida) but the only place I could find it was at a couple of Boat/Marina retailers (West Marine.)  They had several Collinite products but some geared to boat trim.  I picked up Collinite's No. 885 "Fleetwax".  The package sleeve lists the product use for Marine & Aeronautical Finishes.  We shall see.

A product I've tried over the years with good results is "Crystal-Glo" Motorcycle Polish.  It seems to provide a very smooth, deep shine (non-abrasive Acrylic product.)

LOL, I already tried that... I'm thinking I'll hang a static strap on it to drag the ground and make some sparks while discharging the static, LOL..

The O/B 09 SERG doesn't attract dust and pollen - it scares the pollen and dust can't catch up with it...   :carrot:

I am waiting for delivery of my new CVO Street Glide I hoping the Diamond Black will scare the bugs, dirt, dust and pollen around the bike.  My '07 FLHTCUSE2 is like a magnet.  For now it is crated and being shipped.  For many years I have used S100 wax and detail and even in the conditions in Alaska my bikes always looked showroom new, but it takes work for sure, every ride it is a 2-3 hour project with both of us working on it.
