« on: August 09, 2009, 06:27:40 AM »

Anybody had this problem ses 3, lost all electrics to indicators, horn and rear brake light and light. Bike starts and runs fine.
Indicators flash when alarmed.
Checked fuses all intact, no visible wiring loom damage.

have you been inside the switch housings lately? it's throwing a code. I would change out all fuses with bike off to make sure, then run it down, if I remember, something about a pinched wire in switch housing

Did you put any LED lights on it? and do you have an alarm system? if yes to both questions the LED lights will effect the alarm and cause your lights to go crazy.

I had the same problem it was a short in the loom, blowing the fuse that all of those items depend on.

When you say you checked the loom, did you check under the rear fender?

Check the basics first.... Both battery cables, especially if you have added any extra terminals to power anything... grounds, simple load test on battery.

mine did something similar earlier this year - i traced it to the tsm was not working right - could not find it & gave up and let the dealer look at it.

was the loom behind the fuze box under the battery - the drive belt was just loose enough that it rubbed the loom a couple of times

thats all it took

i even have the tool for doing belts..... *sigh*

the vibration it used to get every so often is gone now - ive done my own tests on the belt, it needs to twice as tight as the tool says it should be - if it tighten it up to what the tool says is 20 lb its right.
