Klaus,

Hey thanks for the PM and the follow up pictures.  As I said I broke down and bought one of these tips for my scooter.  Damn... was that expensive.  Anyway I wanted to know how they mounted, position, from the factory.  I see that it angles from the fender tip upwards towards the rear.  I think I'll mount mine parrallel with the fender edge.

Again, thank you for your time and attention adding this detail.

How is it fastened?

The new one I purchased has self adheasive tape.

i don`t know , no screws to see , self adhesive seems to be the way it works .

I can not imagine why HD changed some of the trim on the European bikes. They cheeped out on the mirrors and hung an unattractive strip on the front fender. I don't think I will ever get over the tail lamp addition. Too bad for you guy's that got scr#wd on the other side of the big pond...oh ya don't forget the monster licence plates you can read from an airplane at 10 thousand feet!...I would form a protest if I were you! :drink:
