Welcome aboard from Minnesota! If you purchase your bike from a good dealer and get the extended warranty, you should be fine. I think most people on this forum have had issues with their bike but that's just part of the HD experience (shouldn't have to be, but it is).

Welcome to the site.  I just bought my first CVO Bike, a 09 SERG / Silver (clearly the fastest...)

On my first ride I was blown away by the raw power of the bike before the mods... 

The heat had me a bit concerned so I took the advice of those here.  I did the mods and I especially recommend the Jet-Hot coating in EXtreme Sterling. The Extreme heat turned into simple warm which I can live with, even down here in sunny hot florida.

I couldn't be happier  :huepfenjump3:

2BWILD, the Dallas HD dealer has a silver SERG that has been on their floor for maybe 2 months so they may make you a good deal.  Call Jerry Patterson at 972.270.3962 and tell him Tim Ingram told you to call and they should treat you well.  They'll even throw in a free t-shirt and cap!  :)

One of the best recommendations I can give you on the SERG is that the first salesman I had for HD bought what he is selling - the silver SERG.  He uses it almost every day and commutes probably an hour each way.  Call Hawk at 972.245.1492 at North Texas HD in Carrollton TX and tell him I suggested you call him.  They have 2 Orange SERG in stock but no silver.  Hawk is good people and will tell you all the good and the bad about his experience, whether you buy from him or not. 

Buy it - you wont' regret it!

BUY IT :2vrolijk_21: I have a 08 FXDSE2 NO problems :2vrolijk_20: :2vrolijk_20: took it in for recall still no problems. (mileage 14K ) Got a 09 FLXTCUSE4 NO problems.  ( mileage 7K ) Leave the catalytic converter in place, that will take care of the cold feet. ( at least the right foot ) :soapbox:
