Heavy Breather Trim Ring

The chrome trim ring that covers the back of the heavy breather filter keeps coming off and sliding back on the chrome air intake tube.  I can't figure out how to secure it back on the filter.  Looks like it might twist under the clamp that secures the air filter to the intake and hold by friction.  I've tried that approach, but it's not working.  Any thoughts appreciated.

It adheres by adhesion from a double sided sticky ring that comes with the air filter.  Can't be purchased separately.  Easy fix with some double sided stick tape.  FYI.
