oil leak
« on: October 01, 2009, 10:44:54 AM »

A ridding buddy wants me to ask a question. He has an 08 ultra eagle with 25,000 miles on it.  The question is what could be all the possibilities to make oil leak out of his air cleaner. It was just replaced approximately 2000 miles ago with a new k&n filter. There is oil drips on the cone (right side of engine).

thanks for any help

:2vrolijk_21:  Rule of thumb, Check on side stand Hot engine... Oil reading on dipstick should be between "add" and "full"
Never had an issue at that level, Start there first..

Yes for sure over filling even buy a 1/4 quart will cause oil to infiltrate the air cleaner.

As said above, check hot, on the stand and never fill it to the full line.
