Those 96/103" heads are considerably different than the 110" heads. They can benefit from a simple Street Port with new modified valves and an OS intake 1.9". Heads are CCd and guides replaced as needed.
These changes will improve your low end torque and carry the torque further out. With the SE255 it will just be a sweet running high torque engine that when tuned right with a good pipe will pull to 5,200, the 54 will be a little softer down low, still very torquey, but carry to 6K and HP slightly higher. Depends how you ride and what you carry typically which is the right choice for you. Both are docile and very streetable. The SE255 with the 103" kit is "street legal" and satisfys warranty requirements if that is an issue.
