I've bought 3 new H-D bikes in the past 12 years, not one have I paid MSRP for, including my 05 SEEG. Of course none of these were bought from my local dealer, he prices everything at least 1,000 over MSRP with bs dealer prep and fabricated freight prices. He still has new 05 models on the floor at MSRP. I have always found if you spend a little time on the phone, there is always a dealer wanting to move a unit and get it off his floor plan. It is worth the little effort.
Along with what most of you are seeing in your areas, I was at one of the dealerships Saturday and there were 37 new big twins on the floor. This time last year it seems like there were about 20 on the floor.

I purchased my new '06 ElectraGlide Ultra CLassic CVo from a dealer in South Florida at MSRP.....my salesman just informed me that he is going to have one available in Black/Crimson in March and two three Fatboys...so if someone is interested I might pass the dealer and salesman name to make a deal........and agai, at MSRP!!

My dealer has a standard practice of 20% discount on all parts and 25% on shirts and stuff if you ever bought a bike from them.  What are you seeing at other dealers?

The other reason I see is that like in an earlier thread about the real estate boom, lower interest rate and all is that they let you finance for 7 years or something on new bikes. Thats crazy.   Q

Did anyone see the segment on Mad Money with Jim Cramer (6PM EST CNBC) about H-D being overstocked on 06 models and warehousing them around the country to hold prices. Also, the MoCo is experiencing a sales slump this year. Cramer's people called the MoCo but got a "no comment" on the warehousing reports. My point in all this is that (in my opinion)
