I was cleaning up in the garage today and came across my stock SERG windshield and rubber gasket. Keep in mind I never had this on the bike- the previous owner had a KW shield on it with no gasket.

I replaced the KW awhile ago with a Windvest and never used the gasket since I didn't really know I had it.

Is anybody using it with their aftermarket windshields? I think I would benefit from using it since it seems the WV sits too close to the fairing, then ends up getting little rub marks near the bottom.

I used my stock gasket with my Long Ride Shield, worked great.

I used my stock gasket with my 8" Klock Werks.

I use the stock gasket with my Cee Baileys shield.   Also used it with the Windvest 12".  That was a tight fit.  The Clearview came with its own gasket.

I called Windvest today and spoke to Doug the owner, who said he did not recommend using it. Said it would be too tight a fit (as Greg says).

I mentioned the rubbing issue on the inside bottom of the screen, and he suggested putting a piece of weatherstripping there. He said he should consider including a pre-cut piece of weatherstripping with his windshields. I agreed that would be a good idea  

I told him I was pleased with my 10" because I like some wind, but said I should probably really be using a 12", and that I may buy one to try on long trips. He told me about the new 13" they came out with, but I said I wished they had an 11" model, because I would buy one for sure.

He encouraged me, and anyone else who was like-minded, to email him with our wishes, because if he gets enough requests, he may just start producing them.

Doug seems to be a really good guy.

I use my stock gasket with the Cee Bailey also. Fits perfect, they make that sheild to fit with the stock rubber gasket and it keeps the water from getting through.

IT fits the Cee Baley perfect.

I did not use it on my Cee Bailey Cee Glide windshield, but from my understanding, that one is a little different than some of the others they offer.  With their mounting grommets, (which IMO are better than the HD stock version) the gasket is not needed, as the shield is about 1/16th of an inch off the fairing.  I guess you could use it, but it seemed redundant to me.
