I broke down and got heated gear Oct 30th this year.  I wnet with Gerbing, and am very happy.  I went with the pants (union ridge model) that go over your jeans, the jacket liner and the newbuck gloves.  I also got the dual thermostat.  It works great  I was very comfortable at 38 degrees out.  Gerbing does the wiring for harleys heat gear, harley has a one year warrenty and Gerbing is life time.  Gerbing was less money too.  I wish they still made the heated socks, but I guess I will get the heated insoles now.
