Covers For Black Plastic Heat Sheids?
« on: October 07, 2009, 09:59:16 AM »

New member, new bike, Amber FLHTCUSE5. Does any body make a chrome cover for the heat sheilds that protect your thighs. They look really cheap.

Kuryakyn: Its Plastic but has a chrome look to it. The ones I have from Harley are Black with the Harley Emblem on them.

I beg to differ. The Kury ones look cheaper than the H-D ones, in my mind. For where they are, I think basic black is just fine.

Ride safely,
Louis

I had thoes on my other bike and although they worked, ther are not very sturdy. I was looking to cover the Harley ones because although they are ugly they're sturdy.

There's also this option to dress up the H-D ones on the bike

A much nicer option is No More Fried Thighs.  Not chrome, but a whole lot better looking than stock Harley.
