My last bike had an 88" stock motor. Made lots of noise. Upgraded to 95", 203's, made more noise. Upgraded to better 95, heads worked, andrews cams, made even more noise. Upgraded again, this time a stroker 106, S&S crank, heads redone ( short block charlies ) new cams, now it made lots of noise. Drove me crazy. Sold the bike when I bought my CUSE. This 103 is as quiet as a churchmouse and one reason I've never had the itch to work on it is I love the lack of clacking, ticking that the other bike had. Changed to gearing to 3.37 to help with the low end. Some make noise, some don't. They can all be made quiter, but it will take a tech time and money if you want to take the time to find the noises.

I stroked out my 2006 streetglide to a 103" last winter and ran the same cams, heads, rocker arms ,etc....  I as well noticed more noise with the 103"than the 95".
