Brad is right on, Did your Dealer attempt to upgrade your ABS software as per service bulletin M1251,
If your ABS light is on, it normally means your tech missed  finalizing  the reflash, once the upgrade is installed there is a separate set up screen to complete the install.  C1158 means the upgrade was stopped prior to completion.

Interesting, my light is on also, started a week ago.  There has not been any upgrade.  Was going to call the dealer tomorrow.  At least now I can ask about an upgrade.

When you say "upgrade", exactly what are they doing to the ABS system? Is this a recall item?

I've got what is probably a stupid question but,   where do they "plug in" to update the ABS module? :nixweiss:

It may be that you don't actually plug in at all.  Remember reading that the latest iterations of Digital Technician had Bluetooth connectivity.  Though I'd be terribly surprised if there's not a hardwired backup connection somewhere.

Same thing happened to me.  They told me they forgot to bleed to brakes as part of the process.

Unless they opened your brake system for some reason, there would be no need to bleed the brakes, That particular code is fairly specific it says that the download was terminated prior to completion,

That is what I figured.  Tech just told me that part of the "whole" process was to bleed the brakes after doing the flash and that they had missed that part.
They kind of rushed the process on my bike.  They had missed it when I came to pick it up and did it while I waited.  The following weekend my ABS light would not go out.  I did not check the code though.
