More CAT questions
« on: October 19, 2009, 01:19:03 PM »

I'm getting confused.
I understand we can send out our head pipe and have the “cat” removed. But does Harley have a head pipe with 02 bungs in the right location and the right size without the “cat”? Am I right in understanding that a 2009 head pipe would have the wrong size bungs and the location different?
Lastly, who if anyone makes or is in the process of making a head pipe w/o a “cat” that will replace the O/E ‘cat” head pipe?

All 2010 touring bikes have cat's (with the 09 you could buy a non cat).  On the 2010's, you have to cut yours out or wait and Fuelmoto is working on a non cat 2010 headpipe.  The MOCO does not make a 2010 non cat headpipe.  As you stated, the sensor bungs are in different locations between 09-10..   Hope this helps.

Thank you, it does clear things up. Any estimate as to when Fuelmoto might have the head pipe out?

No need to wait. Fullsac does great work and offers fast turnaround. Have Steve cut out your cats and save some money.

Spoke with Steve yesterday and said would have a headpipe "core" soon so you wouldn't have to wait to get yours done.
