I was wondering about that P1514 Air Flow Fault.  In the automotive arena, that DTC is set when the air flow calculated from the throttle position, barometric pressure, and rpm doesn't match the air flow reported by the Mass Air Flow sensor.  Since H-D doesn't have a MAF, I'm not sure what they are comparing the calculated flow to. :confused5:  One thing that is involved besides the MAP sensor in that calculation is the TPS.  There is also another code in your earlier post that shows a TPS fault (P2135 TPS correlation error).  Hopefully they are closely examining the TPS and associated wiring, since a fault there could set both the P1514 and the P2135 codes.

This stuff can be a real pain to track down, because failures often set a ton of codes that act as red herrings.  Not the real problem, but they were triggered by the original (real) problem.  Good luck.

Jerry

My SM said the same thing in reference the TPS. They are running diagnostics on the system. It shows everything to  be good based on electrical flow. They are visually checking the TPS also.

The MAP sensor measures the air flow in the manifold / throttle plate / throttle plate position. I read the electical service manual on the P1514 code when I was there. However, I'm a rider not a wrench. I try to learn as I go but I don't even pretend to understand the electonic of these bikes.

They called and she's done. I will pick her up in the morning. My 120 mile test ride home should tell the story.

Just got back from picking her up, in fact I'm changing the oil in her now. The SM rode her for +60 miles yesterday and this morning. I just logged +150 miles on her. No problems have surfaced so it oil change, put on the solo tp and check the tires, I'm heading for Maggie Valley!  ;D as long as the gremlin stays asleep

Jeff, when are you leaving and what route are you taking?  I live in Olney, which is on Route 50 about 33 miles west of Vincennes, IN.  Wife and I are planning to leave tues morning and thought we might hook up somewhere along the way.  Mark and Teresa  (Tirpitz)

Well the gremlin lives, the speedo is on the fritz. The mileage / trip odometers will not display. Everything else works (cruise indicator, 6 speed indicator, etc) Time for my third (or is it my fourth) speedo.
