Engine Heat/Crome
« on: October 27, 2009, 06:51:10 PM »

I have been on a Chrome fantasy lately.
After this weekend, I should have all sides of 110 chromed out, on my FLHTCUSE3
Looks real slick.
I have done the mod's that most of us have, to cool down our 110's. Remove Cats, went with Fulsacs, SERT, High Air Flow Cleaner, True Duals, etc.
By covering up the base, trans, and primary of our 110's with chrome as I have, does this relatively thin cover of chrome really matter with the heat issue.
It seems to me the fin's are the most important area to get the breeze with lowers open, or off which ever is your preference.

Are these chromed original pieces, or chromed covers over the orginal pieces?   The first one does make a difference, the second one a much larger one.
