Another bill has been introduced to repeal the mandatory helmet law for persons over 21 in Nebraska.  The last time it was stalled in committee.  The experts are already weighing in - sure to cause carnage, insurance rates will have to go up (they are actually lower across the river in Iowa where there is no helmet law), people shouldn't be allowed access to public health care if they don't have a helmet on at the time, etc.   I wonder if they would be singing the same tune if this were a law requiring helmets in cars; that would save a lot of lives too.

I've wondered why your map had that blank spot in the middle.  There are better reasons to avoid Nebraska!

I'm must be missing something here.  There are many other states on your map that require helmets, yet you have them colored in. How did you nab those states (i.e. California, Nevada, and a whole host of others)?

From Ohio to Sturgis and environs you don't need a lid. Sure you have to wear one in many many states but when given the chance I avoid those that require it. Neb. is easy to miss.
